plate of shortbread cookies

A buttery, with a hint of almond, crumbly, melt-in-your-mouth shortbread. It's my go-to shortbread cookie recipe.

A cooling rack lined with double-chocolate, peanut butter Chip cookies.

These double peanut butter cookies are slightly crisp on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside, and they melt in your mouth.

a tray of freshly baked peanut butter cookies dipped in chocolate and topped with crushed toffee and pretzels.

A deliciously sweet and salty, jazzed up peanut butter cookie. Soft and chewy, dipped in chocolate and topped liberally with crushed pretzels. Hard to stop at one!

Soft and chewy with a slight crunch around the edges, these double chocolate cookies with chocolate chunks are topped with a little sea salt for a sweet yet savory flavour. Scrumptious!

A black bowl with freshly baked peanut butter cookies

One of my favorite gluten-free, flourless peanut butter cookies. They're crisp yet melt in your mouth. It's 100% peanut butter goodness.

A white plate with 2 slices of lemon poppyseed cake with a crunchy sugary glazed sprinkled with more poppyseeds.

This Lemon Poppy Seed Cake is made with Meyer Lemons and packed with crunchy Poppyseeds. Dense, like a pound cake but very moist and tender. Olive oil instead of butter is used to create a loftier cake and to enhance the herb-y scent of the Meyers Lemons.

a plate full of rocky road treats with a bite taken out of one of them.

These rich and decadent cups are absolutely delicious and insanely easy to make. The best part, there’s no baking required; they set up quickly in the freezer and make the perfect baking project to do with little ones (provided that they have no nut allergies.)

About Me

Karen Gordon

Hello there! I’m Karen. I started this blog when our daughter embarked on her university journey. Originally, my intention was to curate a collection of my cherished recipes, with the goal of eventually passing them down to her. However, life has a way of unfolding unexpectedly.

Presently, I find myself authoring a nationally syndicated recipe column, published bi-weekly, while also designing unique gift boxes. During my free time, I continue to bake, sharing my delectable treats with loved ones. I sincerely hope that you’ll find delight in exploring my recipes.

If the act of gifting food brings you joy, I invite you to explore my thoughtfully designed treat boxes. They are meticulously created to enhance the unboxing experience of baked goods.
